A Light For Your Path

You my friend,
Have been my light,
There to lead me through
Even the darkest of tunnels.
Without you
My life would be dim,
Just another empty room.
But you have filled it,
With joy and comfort,
And made these barren walls
Look bright and anew.
And when the day comes,
That your light may burn out,
I reassure you,
I’ll be there with a fast match,
And I shall be your light too.
