I’m sorry I cant get close to you,
For fear of getting pushed away.
But why would I even want to,
When I know youre not gonna stay?
Why cant I open my heart to love?
Why cant I open my eyes to see?
Why cant I tell you youre perfect,
And all that you mean to me?
Why cant I tell you I want to date,
But that im afraid you’ll lie?
And, though we’re not together, why is it,
You’ve already made me cry?
Im sorry I don’t have any answers,
Yet, still, my love continues to grow.
But most of all, im sorry
That you don’t even know.
