Desperation
The air is crystal
My mind is plastic
I’m bathed in a loss of
self-hope
The lights are off
The cobwebs cocoon my presence
My reflection absent
I’m looking into a hole
Am I falling slowly?
Or is the world receding
beneath my feet
Receding with broken hearts
Separated by stormy rivers.
Lights on
I’m forced to take cover
behind the unknown
behind the glass eyes
The wind whips my face
Good try
