Never Forgotten
I was drowning in my tears as you left and walked away
You never looked or turned around, no chance that you would stay
I cared for you, you cared for me, but our thoughts would be reversed
Such graceful verses to our song, but the chorus, unrehearsed
Through weeks and months of constant dread, you were always on my mind
Hoping you would see my heart, but still your eyes were blind
One day you walked right next to me, my eyes locked onto you
I thought of all the times we shared, I knew that you did too
As we passed I looked back once, and smiled when I did see
That you were stopped in clear daylight, staring back at me
