The Last Thing
Yesterday was all I want to be.
Yesterday was warm night walks and heavy songs in your ears.
No better use of time then singing to the dark grey sky.
No thought of what waited for us beyond there.
Deep eyes engulfed with all the ways we would be better than where we were born into.
And promises we were so sure we could keep.
today i am nothing but scared wrists and tears that never seem to stop
i am a broken girl who can't be fixed by the sun
torn down by trust and a heart that hopes to much
today i am weak
today the hope is gone and the memories turn to dreams
all i want is to dream sleep
sleep forever
Tomorrow Will Be Different
Just As Everything Seems To Be In The Light Of A New Morning
While All The Tears From Today Are Made Insignificant
As If All They Were Was Ocean Rain
Our Voices Will Never Be Drowned Out By The Suffocating Trucks
Or Those Who Said We Were So Messed Up
These Words Are In Black And White
The Same Way I Saw Last Night
Falling Through The Grey Clouds Of Yesterday
You Will See I'm Right
Because When I Fly
Above Everything Yesterday Brought Me
I Will Be Something
And It Will Be The Last Thing I’ll Ever Be
