Cool-water air seeps over my skin
Naked as summertime
And you're here
Again, looking like
Summertimes ago

Summertimes before
When we christened that couch
With legs laced face to face palm to palm
You never
kissed me
But disbelief was soft and honest and happy in your eyes
Like dawn

For that summertime
We were
More than a wave of cool air and a memory
