a casing



but now I am swollen


my seams s t r e t c h e d

with sweet sentences.

This is exactly why I'm a writer also. I'm someone who tends to close and store my emotions. And not share them with the world aloud. But with writing, I've been able to voice those stored emotions. It's like therapy, forgive the cliche. But with writing, I feel like I'm healing a part of me that wasn't able to be itself. This poem captivates me for that reason. It captures why some of us have decided to become who we are.
