Brother Sea, Sister Moon
I walk away from my sad reality, blue with tears - ones not my own;
cold sand under my feet, piercing me and I still don't feel a thing, I just continue
going straight ahead, until my dress hangs limp with wet.
I'm in a salty mood, not at all sweet; waiting until I fly away
up off the ground, to take my shot at beginning anew.
Escape where I don't belong, the piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit quite right,
depart, leaving my sorrow with Brother Sea,
tugging along my regret and hence tainting the beauty of Sister Moon.
