Grandpa
Laughter and music
Float through the air.
A house full of food,
And family everywhere.
We're all kinda sad,
but trying to smile.
We all deal with loss
Every once in a while.
Grandpa and daddy,
Husband and friend.
He loved and was loved,
Now it has come to an end.
We will all be okay,
He's done hurting now.
God and Grandpa together,
High above in the clouds.
Sitting at the table
Playing cards with the Lord,
He's gone up to Heaven
With that old crib board.
Playing teams with Bud and Terry,
The Lord and Leo won the game.
Grandpa could win or lose,
But he'd smile just the same.
I haven't been in this family
As long as all of you,
But in the time I've known him,
he became my Grandpa, too.
In thinking about Leo,
You don't know where to start.
But everyone was welcome
In his home and in his heart.
