"Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game."

Born as a wooden boy,
I could not lie,
For others could see them
Through my wooden nose that grew as long as my lies.
Jiminy cricket came along,
There to be my conscience,
And my best friend
And lead the way to help me not li.
But I got myself into trouble.
I met some bad boys,
But before I knew it,
They were turned into donkeys
Because I was made of wood,
I could only sprout ears and tale.
I fell into the water, and I was a donkey no more.
Father’s love,
Now I’m a real boy.

I learned not to lie,
And now I’m a real boy.

This was an assignment I had to do for my creative writing class recently. The assignment was to write a poem about something, but keep narrowing it down as far as you could without losing the meaning of the poem. How'd I do?
