May May
Peas and carrots, peas and carrots
Well, that’s what I am told.
Bare feet, pitter patter,
A song is growing old.
“Oh Come Ye Merry Gentlemen”
All calm and still and quiet.
But only for a moment here
Cheerios and craisins, cheerios and craisins
Is chattered in my ear.
Feet on tip toe, reaching for the door,
Hands slipping falling towards the floor.
Bright blue eyes and a beaming smile
But soon that’s out of style.
No is the word every single day.
But it’s not the only word he’ll say
Say Pi-nan-no, say pos-se-cul
Rocks stacked on the side of the deck.
A mouth full of green apples.
Uncle says tackle me and he jumps,
Landing directly on his butt
Trampoline, trampoline, up and down we bump.
Dump out all the toys,
Then run away, run away, run away all.
