You have to stop
saying all of your cute things
if your plane
doesn't leave until
Sunday.
Because
without you here
people are going to get
sick of my
love poems,
but all I can
seem to think of
is you,
in front of the Eiffel Tower,
lending your shine
to all of Paris,
and here at home
lending your perfection
to my words.
