It's like asking your best friend what

Even when you already know it's
chocolate.
But you still hope they say vanilla.
Or trying to stop a steamy make-out
session to ask; how about we talk
instead.
Life can be a slap in the face from
Dad when he catches you coming
home late.
Or getting everything you wanted and
more Christmas morning.
It can be described as a series of
disappoinments leading to your death.
Or a miracle and gift blessed upon
us all.
Life is confusing
And stressful
sometimes you want to tie life to a
chair to beat the answers out of it.
But in the end life becomes a balance.
It's settling for chocolate, and hoping
next time you can get vanilla.
It's respecting each others personal
boundaries, and knowing when enough
is enough.
It's picking your fights in a war
And settling for something practical,
rather than desired.
Life is understanding what a Get-out-of
Jail free card really means.
And knowing when to use it.
Somehow along the way life has been
turned into a game.
Where everyone wants to win.
