The worst part is
that they won't remember
saying goodbye
like everyday the road to
yesterday gets shorter
they're constantly meeting
old friends and lovers
for the very first time
the questions who are you?
where am I?
Get repeated over and over
throughout the day
Sad, having someone you love
not be able to distinguish
your face
from that of a stranger

Great job, really. I thought maybe it would be a poem about....something else. But I love it, i really do. I feel like your speaking from your heart, or from a personal experience, not to pry or anything, but the emotion displayed was so raw and touching. This is 100% relateable. My grandmother is suffereing from alzheimers right now, and though she has not yet started forgeting me, i know it is coming soon. Thanks you for writing it, this was awesome!. Keep rockin
