siren song.
lately
i've realized
that deep within
the shell of my
body there is a hollow
where a heart-shaped glass contraption used
to reside. but i believe it was
you who clawed your way in with your
siren song and crumbled it into teardrop shards that
slice me from the inside whenever your words swim by.
the blood-red elixir contained therein, sweet as milk and
sharp as iron, has long since spilled and
run into the scars on my sinful
wrists and the letters written. you
said you'd miss me to
pieces. never have i
wanted so much
to be
broken.
