I was walking
surrounded by dancing leaves high up in trees
what is that?
not a leaf, but a boy!
he dances among the high boughs
laughing
it’s a game
the brown leaves applaud his feats
topsy turvy
where the branches turn to leaves
he is there
he belongs
until
the ground rushes to meet him
later
he’ll be back

This is a beautiful poem. I love the topic, and it is very well-written. Descreptive, beautiful, not too long. And also congrats on getting published!
