When the School Day Drags
I love the work of nature that comes out in the spring.
When the sun comes out I just want to jump up and sing
“Forget about school, forget about long exhausting work.”
See! Look over there even the teacher’s got a smirk.
I love seeing new life sprout up in the flowers,
Or just playing in the spring rain for hours.
There’s nothing more than my desire to play.
There are a few things I’ve got to say!
“STOP giving me so much homework, it’s no fun.
If you give me too much, I’ll never be done.”
When I get done all I want to do is yawn.
When I finally go outside the sun will be gone.
It’s no fair, nice weather has finally come
And all I’m doing is counting my fingers plus my thumbs.
One day when school is over, I’ll play outside again and smile.
Until then, I’ll stay inside and miss you for a while.
I dislike being the one to complain,
But this homework is driving me totally INSANE!
I disgust to be a foreigner,
But summer’s so far around the corner.
I hate to end this with a long exaggerated sigh,
But until then, Mr. Sun this is goodbye. ?
