Fell out of bed this afternoon
Feeling nothing,
I got on the computer
And messaged the school
Saying I don’t feel
Like coming in today.
“You can’t do that”
The nurse informed me.
“Actual ma’am, I can” I sneered
“The world is too nice of a place
To be showing up to class today.
If the world gets meaner tomorrow
I might show up!”
