Hopelessly Devoted
Something always brings me back to you
Back to this endless cycle of pain and hope and heartbreak
I don't know how you did it
But you've got me hanging by a thread
And I'm at the end of my rope
Will this ever end
I'm at a loss of words
How is it that you make me feel dead and alive at the same time
You brush tendrils of hair behind my ear
And whisper lovely lullabies down the back of my neck
Yet pour salt in my cuts
And drag a knife across the outlines of your fingernail scratches down my spine.
Hopelessly devoted
You're a beautiful devil
And you've got me hooked
I can't breathe when you're around
Either from your sweet essence
Or the fact that you're choking me
Either way, I love it
Either way, I'll stay
