Someday
Someday, when the leaves turn brown and the flowers wither away
And the birds refuse to sing and the squirrels begin to hide,
I shall at last walk into Death’s loving embrace
By the dying embers that mark my home.
Where there is no darkness or light
Only the soft warm glow of eternity
There I will sing my song of peace
In the midst of a thousand silver angels.
