Why wasn't I there to say sorry?
Why wasn't I there at all?
Why cant I learn to hate myself?
For all the time I wasn't there
Why cant I cry?
Why did he have to die?
Why couldn't say I loved him for the last time?
Because I wasn't there
I knew you were in a lot of pain
It pained me to see you lay in bed all day
It tortured me that you would have to die someday
So why wasn't I there?
I know Im being Selfish
Cruel
Unkind
But Grandpa did you really have to die?
