Stomache Pains and Heartache

My shoulders slump,
my eyes squint as
my head tilts to read the glaring lines of your poem,
My heart snaps off its cords, slamming into my rib-cage.
It trips and
tumbles, down into
the swell of my belly. It throbs in pain-
thrashes up, down and about,
uncontrollably
against my stomach,
from the rugae-
to the pyloric sphincter.
They ache.
