I'll Have the Heartbreak and Orange Juice
I had a little bit of heartbreak for breakfast,
Along with a bagel and some orange juice.
I put your hair band on around my wrist,
For it seemed to be the most applicable use.
I found myself at the lunch counter,
Wondering what the hell I was going to do,
Thinking back on memories of us, together,
When I decided I’d never get over you.
I’m running, I’m chasing,
My heart and soul are racing,
Trying to find their way to yours,
Yet I wound up at a dinner table,
Set for only one,
And I’m not sure if my tears will clear before tomorrow,
If I’ll again see the sun,
Or if from now on, I’ll simply see rain.
