homesick
homesick i wait
by a window stained
by my gaze
looking outside
and losing faith
seeing no one there
And remembering a time, In a windy city
When the streets would call out to you
With voices of comrades
Who'd fight for your back
and who feel such comfort in your home
as you do in theirs
Peeps and homies and brothers
A pack
But here the window just sits
and the streets never ring
Theres never a call
that says come by and swing
And the news stays the same
everyday routine
life frozen solid
no passions, no flings
