A Dance With Death
Do you fear death?
I found her in a dream one night
A welcoming and entrancing sight.
She kissed my brow, and took my hand
I was spirited away to a distant land
Far away from the world i knew
A heaven or hell, shown to a certain few
We stood together in a palace of stone
And danced hand in hand, in the kingdom unknown
She turned to me, with a tear in her eye
"My worst tragedy," She said, "Is that eventually you'll die".
I smiled at her, and wiped the tear from her cheek
"Whatever time i have left," I said, "Be it a millenium or a week,
This dance won't end with you all alone.
My body will rest, my legacy etched in stone,
but my spirit, my love, waits for you up above
where our love, our dance shall await".
A stolen kiss, a night proven real
The dream comes true, no fear to feel
It's time, again, to test my fate...
