No matter how hard you try, it will never be enough
When your own skin turns against you.
Thoughts dribble at first, leaving you calm
Before the floodgates burst and memories escape.
Time monsoons away as it always has until the sand has run out
Ready to be flipped for a restart.
The front of the line becomes visible far too soon.
Rotem prayers itch in the back of your mind
Until it is your turn.
