Mind Fog
Your love is dangled right in front of me,
Yet so far away.
I reach,
but my arms can not seem to stretch
so close,
Like I'm drunk off the silky words you pour in my ears.
Do they mean anything to you?
Should they mean anything to me?
I'm helplessly drowning in your syrupy teasing
and games I can never win.
My mind begs for some closure,
but my heart is content to keep drowning
and reaching for a drop of your love.
So far.
So close.
