Why are you always running away?
Walking so briskly,
eyes set right ahead,
a clear purpose about your lengthy stride.
Why can't you merely slow down a second
to say a few words more than hello?
Your rushing makes me feel like
I'm never your priority.
Standing on the sidelines
with so many words on my lips,
lost and unsaid
when you brush by.

I asked him many times why he walked so fast. He told me it was because he was a god among men, and then told me to catch up. I don't walk fast, but I hope one day I can be his goddess.
