shadow of emotions
Hurt is such an easy word to use, sometimes we don’t even realize it has slipped our tongues. We can’t sympathize when others feel it. And we never know the full force of the word alone until we know the word personally. Some are forced to know the word; others accidently fall in its clutches. So easy to fall into. Yet the hardest thing to escape. As soon as we’re in it we start to feel comfortable even if we never know it. Sometimes we escape unharmed, other times it destroys us. How do you know which will happen to you? Can we choose? We sometimes leave when we realize we’re too accustoming to it. Or we just believe it will perish on its own and we try to live through it. Does it ever really go away? Or does it stack us? Following us around like a shadow of our emotions. Does it try to get a hold of us again? Would you try to escape or do you live through it?
