Sitting and staring.
Yet no one is learning.
Some people are running;
Others are barely walking.
The goal is believing,
That my class can change the world.
But what do I know?
I'm just an ordinary girl.

The author's comments:
I wrote this in my World History class my sophomore year. I'll be honest, my classmates and I didn't really learn much and I never understood how we all earned the Commended Award in that class. In addition, that specific class taught me that everyone has their own pace in life.
