Linger
Do you see me
When you close your eyes
Can you still taste me
In your mouth; bubblegum tongue
Do you find yourself alone
Only to smell my soft perfume
Because I do, surely that is true
Does the texture of my hair
Linger on your fingertips
And is the feel of your hand
On the small of my back
Engraved into your mind
Because it is in mine
I can feel your ragged breath
Upon my dewy neck; sweaty hands
Your marshmellow lips kiss a
Ghostly sigh upon my mouth
And death is the only escape
I heard you too feel my pain
But you still leave, all the same.
