to live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong

The cloudy water runs in my veins

It lets my darkness turn green

The shore no longer holds me in its chains

But keeps me in heavenly between

Soaring off the bow, the water begins to seep

And the coolness slips away from my feet

I can finally emerge from the deep

Dripping, sticky, and sweet

My hair is entangled

Where the seaweed ends

And the ropes are mangled

Whether I find the start, it all depends

The sand shapes my limbs

Raising my mind

Bringing into my life care-free whims

And shaping me into a different kind

Things tend to fall apart

If there is too much concrete

The water is one part

That makes my marks discrete

Night grabs at the day

And watercolors blend into the waves

Winds hold me back, begging me to stay

The murky water shields more than it saves

The current is strong;

The memories stronger.

It is where I belong

I only wish the song was longer

But I can still feel the motion

As I drift out to sleep

The crash and pull is my potion

The Lake, my soul to keep.
