Evening
Evening falls with a small
star above the rooftops
In the street the traffic
goes on, bustling, they
miss out on the tiny,
sparkling star
In the purpling evening
sky.
Cobwebby clouds drift across it
Downstairs someone
is playing a saxophone
After a while a faint
silver glow dances on the
edges of the faraway
hills
And then the round white-silver
moon comes up
Like a lamp
The cloudmoths flying
around it
The moon covers the country
with its glow
But down in the streets
the neon lights outshine
the moon
