The Otherside of the River

On the other side of the river
I am filling twigs with sentences
And nails with memories
On the other side of the river
Is all I want to say about them
As they leaned and pulled
On the long wooden oars
‘til it moves like
A slow song sounds
As my tears leave rivers of salt
When the goat man
Is dancing in the woods
Jesus tells me I’m saved
