Weeks of Depression
I am gone.
Gone like the Wind of last Saturday,
A hot, feverish feeling now settles over me,
Depression.
I am gone,
Like that butterfly you saw last Sunday,
Smashed into the pavement,
Depression.
I am gone,
Like that infant I heard about last Monday,
Buried in a two-foot casket,
Depression.
I am gone,
Like that house encased with flames last Tuesday,
Burnt to the ground,
Depression.
I am gone,
Like the light was on Wednesday,
Snuffed out by the clouds,
Depression.
I am gone,
Like the warmth was on Thursday,
Cold and icy,
Depression.
I am gone,
Because you left me on Friday,
Encouraged by sweet death,
Depression.
