I Can (Grow Up)
I hit the brick wall
Like a fool.
Then I press my hands to it and try to distance myself away from the looming red solid because I can leap over it, I say
Easy
Just need to stand here for a moment.
Sensing the grit on the lips and standing there in the black, the throbbing black.
With fluttering eyes that glitch and squint they open and see my tongue reach out to dab the dirty grit.
Spit it out!
Only to fail and bring it back in and feel it grinding in my molars.
