Poetry
Don't think about it too much
Let your feelings cascade from your heart
And don't be afraid to start
Express yourself and don't be shy
Let your emotions free
Keeping them locked away
Can be very unhealthy
It shouldn't be forced
And it shouldn't be contrived
It should be authentic and true
It should be a representation of you
It doesn't have to be too deep
It can be cute, it can be about sleep
But it should make the reader think
And imagine
And wonder
And dream
Poetry can be like a terrifying storm
Or a peaceful light rain
It can evoke misery
It can evoke pain
It can paint a picture of a beautiful
Summer's day
It can express joy
If that's your purpose
Just have fun and let go
Let the words flow
