In the Land of the Living MAG
A last breath is a tragedy.
For the automatic inhale, exhale
To be stopped forever
Is a crime to those who loved
The one who breathed.
But my last breath,
The one I will take in
Just a few short minutes,
Is a crime to no one.
With no family and no friends,
This lonely old man will be missed
Only by the nurses who have been
Caring for me in my illness,
And they do not love me.
