Bang!....Bang!...
Two down.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three more gone.
Four, five, six, seven.
A pause,
The city is in flames.
Soot-covered children flee
Sons help their fathers stand
Young girls huddle together shaking.
The heat is oppressive, the air thick with smoke.
Death is all around.
Dull, lifeless eyes stare...
Where does it end?
It doesn't.

An anti-war piece that I wrote. It is filled with passion and heart because I feel strongly about this topic. I hope that it makes a point.
