Current
The current burns through my veins,
Consuming me in a future world,
Spectrums of color open before me,
As the current runs though me,
The power surges in my body and mind,
Controlling my very being,
This current that runs through me,
Is granting me power never before known,
Rainbows of vast purples take their home in the night sky,
The sun is now a dimming red,
I must take on this current,
For it is consuming me bit by bit,
Little by little until there is nothing left,
The sun has set and it is time to go,
The current burns me up to ashes,
Power is useless now,
My soul wanders the earth in search of comfort,
And finds an open beach by the ocean,
I can still feel the current,
For it is in everyone,
And it lunges for power and control,
For everyone wants power,
But only the wise get it.
