Amadeus
You’re tall as an oak tree and you’re my Serbian warrior.
You use your sword of wisdom and reason to cut
down the shield of idiocy people have decided to use as protection.
Amadeus, I’m scared to tell you how I feel.
While you are the strongest man, both mentally and physically,
I don’t think your mind can take it.
I lie awake at night and fear telling you, “Please be with me.”
I think you’re going to run away from me
and leave me to fight the idiots on my own.
I’m scared when you leave my house, you’re never coming back;
as if on your way back to the Big Apple, you’ll find a reason
to stay away from me.
Amadeus, you keep my whole world sane and you fill the missing
piece of the puzzle that’s missing in my head.
Every time you hold me, I feel safe;
Every time you speak, I want to learn more.
You’re a river of knowledge and a pillar of truth,
and, with your sword, you defend your truths.
Let’s be frank, Amadeus.
Can you love me?
Will you love me?
Will you hurt me?
Will you leave me?
I am scared, I am nervous, and I can’t take it.
I want you to have my heart, but I’m scared you’ll
take it for nothing but a joke.
A disgusting, cheap joke that can easily be found in
the dirtiest bar or men’s room.
