Honesty is the best policy?
Secrets zipped behind lips
Sh sh I think I hear someone
Sh sh there is someone close by
Sh sh who is there?
Whispers fill these walls
Surrounded by people from birth but still have no idea of their true identity
You thought everything had changed…but everything is the same
You slam your neighbours door then your own for effect
But that doesn’t change the secrets that lie between each brick
The lies that weigh on your chest and you feel like you need to break away
But more lies pile on top and your struggling with every breath becoming shallow
Until you realise there is no such thing as an honest person
From the pitch of their voice to the loss of eye contact you know they lie even though they deny it right to your face.
Trust, is for a foolish man.
