The Memories of a Dead Man
All that I know has been taken from me,
All that is important is lost,
You try really hard to get back up,
But you’ll just get kicked into the mud again,
You dig your own grave,
Preparing for the worst to come,
Knowing that no matters what comes to pass,
You’ll be safe inside that cold hard coffin,
It is safe and comforting,
To know that you’re six feet under,
The feet of all those that have loved you,
They no longer visit you,
They have long forgotten,
And the people that walk the earth now,
Are bitter and full of regret,
For the things they have done to me,
My soul has traveled on,
While my body remains here,
Take mention of my memories,
For they are the memories of a dead man.
