I am Alice
Alice never know the danger in
the rabbit hole and like her
I am falling too fast
Words that have never graced my
tongue slip into my vocabulary, naturally
You mannerisms creep in to
blend with mine;
You are becoming a part of me.
You are an awful dancer but
I am home alone and when the
music starts to play I feel
my shoulder wriggle back and forth
because they are thinking of you.
I am a sponge, soaking you up
and though you are not mine, I
feel you seeping into my bones
like books, learning every part of you.
