Helpless and alone
A child sits helpless,
To fight the world on his own,
Abandoned by his parents, unloved by all,
Starved by disease,
He sits and cries in a corner,
Trying to chase the demons away,
Help seems so far away,
And there seems no use running to it,
Yet the child tries to escape this poverty,
And runs towards hope,
He can hear people shouting,
He thinks he has finally found it,
When he collapse’s on the concrete floor.
