The instructor said,
Go home and write
A page tonight
And let it come out of you
Then it will be true
I wonder if it is that simple.
What makes truth?
What makes a life true?
How do we interpret what we don’t know?
Is what we think true?
False?
False accusations to a simple reality?

Is a hard working man’s life that is never home
true, pure?
Is the drug dealer down the block life?
True, pure?
Is the top of the chain, the riches life
True, pure?
Is the bottom of the barrel, the welfare collectors life
True pure?

How do we judge the ripest fruit?
What makes our lives different?
Is the hard working man happy?
What about the drug dealers, the rich, the poor?
How do we know what is the best?
Who struggles the most?
What makes truth?
