The Vacuum
The screen,
Glass flat, blank, empty space,
Wires woven, beyond its face.
Connecting within they transmit
The color and the screen is lit.
Lit with bright vivid color,
All captivating, riveting to another
Innocent mind. The screen grabs,
Penetrating their pupils it stabs,
Deep within havoc as its purpose,
Consuming brain cells, tossing them into its furnace.
Replacing thoughts of meaning and life,
Thoughts that encourage literature strife,
Thoughts containing, no one knows,
Yet the victims let them decompose.
All these thoughts, so beautiful they are,
The screen erases, leaving the mind an empty jar.
The victim,
Eyes flat, blank, empty space,
With only darkness beyond its face.
