The Woods Took Me
Hunting and seeking for my supper,
Search and search or I face hunger,
What is that I hear?
It’s no hoof of a goat, something else,
A for legged beast with hair appears,
Something that I’ve never seen in Africa anywhere,
Upon it was a ghost wearing flashy clothes,
And appeared more ghosts and four legging beasts,
And a moment comes when there are chains on my wrists, rope around my neck,
The ghost shouts “Easy slave easy”,
Don’t go in the woods, or you’ll be taken,
Just like the woods took me.
