The real world is a nasty place

Your obligatory parenthood chats didn't
prepare me much
For this.
Daddy,
Can I be a little boy again and watch
football for hours with you
Without a worry or care?
Please, Daddy
You say it gets better
And
These are the days I'll look back on fondly
But
What if
I don't get to look back?
