The 30th of November
Blunt blonde locks sweep across
The wood where a lady dressed in black
Once wept for the death of her 2 day old parakeet
Lusting for that “Zen” her mum’s yoga teacher
Told her she would find if only she just laid upside down
Instead, she coolly collected her blonde into a bun,
And marched herself to the attic, hoping to discover mum’s college collection—floral floor length dresses, ochre velvet shorts
Instead, she stumbled upon an old wire birdcage
which she placed on the floor her locks once swept
